Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what information WeatherNow uses and why. You can use the service without creating an account.

Location

If you choose “Use my location”, your browser shares approximate coordinates with us solely to look up the forecast. We do not store your coordinates on our servers or link them to you.

Data stored on your device

Saved locations, recent searches, your last viewed location and your temperature unit are kept in your browser's local storage. You can clear them at any time from the site or your browser settings.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which features are used, such as searches and unit changes. We do not collect names, emails or precise location for analytics.

Advertising

We may display ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. You can manage personalised advertising at Google's Ads Settings.

Third parties

Weather requests are sent from our servers to Open-Meteo. Reverse-geocoding of coordinates is performed by a third-party geocoding service.
